Brisbane Open House 2025
Updated: Jul 12, 2025
Take a peek inside some of Brisbane’s most prominent buildings for free when Brisbane Open House returns for a weekend to remember on July 19 and 20, 2025.

Brisbane’s architecture takes centre stage as this popular weekend returns with its most expansive program in five years — giving visitors the chance to explore behind the scenes at a range of architectural icons, landmark buildings and tucked-away places across the city.

Across the weekend, 91 buildings and sites will open their doors — spanning historic homes, innovative workspaces, and cultural venues. With guided tours, talks, walks, and an After Dark program, it’s a chance to see the city from a new perspective.

The program spans six precincts across Greater Brisbane, giving visitors the chance to explore one area in depth or journey across the city, discovering neighbourhoods both familiar and new.

New additions to the 2025 program include first-time access to Rivière by Aria, Milton House, Bradbury Park Playscape in Kedron, the Morningside School of Arts and St Laurence’s College.

Returning favourites include Newstead House, Roma Street Fire Station, Brisbane Arcade, ABC Brisbane, Centenary Pool, Masonic Memorial Centre, and Government House.

The program also features rare behind-the-scenes access to Brisbane Airport as it celebrates 100 years, a guided tour of Wivenhoe Dam, and an exploration of the Port of Brisbane’s expanding infrastructure.

Visitors can also enjoy guided walks, live music, and film screenings, and enter the popular Brisbane Open House photography competition.

Brisbane Open House offers a rare opportunity to experience the architecture that shapes Brisbane and invites the public to experience familiar places in unexpected ways.
