Tiny Carved Wooden Door

South Brisbane

Have you spotted this tiny door? It's not really noticeable, but once you know it's there, you'll always see it.

We've done our research and can't seem to find out who lives there, or who the talented builder was behind it.

Tiny Door, South Brisbane

Located in a retaining wall on the bustling corner of Grey Street and Melbourne Street, this one-of-a-kind timber door also features an ornately-carved, wooden lunette in the archway above.

And, the cutest little cactus garden beside the doorway perhaps offers a nod to the origin of the carving - our guess is somewhere in South America. Where do you think you'd see a work of art like this as the entrance to the family home around the world?

If you're still needing a hint on where to find this small door, the picture above gives you the perfect clue... it's just across the road from QPAC and adjacent to Queensland Art Gallery (which is home to it's very own tiny door where Roy & Matilda live).
