4017 Bayside Open Studios

The biggest event on the bayside's art calendar, 4017 Bayside Open Studios returns for its third year to Bracken Ridge, Sandgate, Deagon, and Brighton over 2 weekends  on October 14-15 and October 21-22, 2023.

Featuring 19 artist studios, the art trail will include more than 33 participating artists. including 3 not for profit local community art groups, Sandgate Art Society, Shorncliffe Potters and Artrageous Arts.

Proudly presented by Sandgate Art Society Inc, and sponsored by major presenting partner Brisbane City Council, 4017 Bayside Open Studios will see local art studios welcoming visitors to their creative maker spaces from 10am to 4pm both days on each weekend, with many studios/galleries also open during the week by appointment.

Facilitated by some of the most talented local artists, workshops and art technique demonstrations will be available for visitors to attend and participate in the creative process, whether on the weekend or in the week between.

Visitors can experience a diverse range of art media including painting, textiles, pottery, drawing, basketry, sculpture, printmaking, mixed media, wood carving and photography, while becoming acquainted with the participating artists and their studios and galleries.

Whether you’re an art enthusiast or art collector, you can enjoy this rare opportunity to not only see behind the scenes but to support local artists, purchase local art, attend workshops and learn about the creative process. 

Good to know - A printed/digital map and studio guide will be available for taking a self-guided tour, with studios no more than 10  minutes drive from each other.
