Archaeology Adventures
The Workshops Rail Museum
These school holidays, kids can explore what it takes to be an archaeologist with The Workshops Rail Museum's Archaeology Adventures, from September 16 to October 2, 2023.

Aspiring archaeologists will be able to join the Museum's team in the dig pits, clean and sort their discoveries, and document them in their very own field notebook.

Then extend their creativity at the Imagination Station where they can design artistic interpretations inspired by their finds.

Follow the museum trail and find out more about recent archaeological discoveries made in Brisbane and Ipswich.
And no visit to The Workshops Rail Museum is complete without taking a ride on the popular Land Train, operating from 10am-2pm daily.

The Science of Tunneling Workshops with Cross River Rail
On Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 September, children aged 6-10 years old can explore transport planning and the science of tunnelling and archaeological finds uncovered by the construction of the Cross River Rail. These workshops include virtual reality and interactive experiences. Places are limited and bookings are essential.
