UPDATED 11/1/21: THE PEARL HAS CLOSED PERMANENTLY.
The Pearl is one of Brisbane’s longtime hidden gems - a gorgeous, intimate sandstock brick-walled bar and eatery in the Woolloongabba antique precinct.
Housed in a Victorian era 2 storey terrace shop, The Pearl's cosy downstairs dining area features a stunning curved wooden bar, mirrored floor lit archways and a cluster of Bentwood chairs on the wall.

Diners also have the option of dining outside under the verandah with views on the charming historic pocket lit by antique lampshade style street lights.

The restaurant's reputation for a great breakfast and lunch spot has been built over the years but it comes into its own in the evenings when the antique street lamps come on and the impressive dinner menu comes into being.

To Start, customers can nibble on Mount Zero Organic Mixed Olives, Danny’s artisan bread with house made butter or Oysters served Natural or with Mirin Dressing and Fried Onion.

Entrees to share include Ceviche, Lemon Lime Cured Fish with avocado, heirlooms, smoked salt and crispy lavosh, Banyard Quail with caramelized peach, serrano ham, roquette & pedro ximinez or the must try Whipped Artichoke, bottarga, fennel seed, olive oil and lavosh.

From the concise list of delicious Mains the options are Grilled Spatchcock, chermoula, bahrat, labneh and eggplant kasundi, Charred Cape Grim Rib Fillet with anchovie butter, soubise, crisp jamon and mustard leaf, Handmade Gnocchi with courgette, lemon cream, crisp artichoke and almond ‘pesto’ or Sustainable Local Fish, saffron and fennel risotto, peas and tarragon.

The Pearl is one place that it’s really worth saving room for Dessert – highly recommended is the Pearl Providore freshly baked sweetie with pepe saya crème fraiche and the Providore Signature Tart with frozen cream, while there’s also a Cheese Kitchen selection.

To accompany, there’s a cracking wine list (the owner of Pearl has a wine-making background), with the well-versed staff on hand to recommend the best wines., which are sourced from Australia, New Zealand, France, Spain, Portugal and Italy.

A small selection of Apperitifs are from France, Italy and England and Digestifs from France, Spain, Portugal and Italy.

Also on offer are a small range of Beer & Cider that includes Peroni Rosso (Italy), Moritz (Spain and Quiet Deeds (Vic) and Harcourt Valley Cider (Vic) as well as Pre and Post Dinner and Brunch cocktails.
Need to know - There is a mix of on-street meter and (by night only) free parking in the Logan Road antique precinct cul-de-sac.
The menu may have changed since our visit.
