Creative Glass Showcase

Discover the wonderful world of handmade glass art at the 2024 Creative Glass Showcase, on Saturday November 16 and Sunday November 17, at the Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens Auditorium.

At this popular event, which is held annually, visitors can see and buy from a large range of individual glass items, which are all hand made by Guild members.

Live demonstrations will be held throughout the weekend, where visitors can see various glass-making techniques, talk to local glass artists about their work, and check out the various courses to get started on the road to glass artistry.

This year the Showcase has a Christmas theme and there will be something for everyone from unique Christmas gifts and ornaments, to glass garden art and a big range of decorative and wearable pieces – all of it showcasing the beauty and splendour of glass!

If all of that inspires you and unleashes your creative spirit, the Creative Glass Guild of Queensland can help you with courses and workshops in Beadmaking, Fusing and Slumping, Kiln Carving, Contemporary and Traditional Glass Painting and Decorating, Leadlighting and Copperfoiling, Mosaics and Sand Engraving.

The Glass Guild, centrally located in Red Hill, Brisbane (next to the Broncos), is the only place in Australia offering such a wide range of classes under the one roof. View courses and workshops here. 

Tickets to the Creative Glass Showcase on November 16 (9am-4pm) & 17 (9am-3pm) at Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens Auditorium are $5 per adult, and children under 12 are free.
