Reef Point Cafe

Scarborough

REEF POINT CAFE HAS CLOSED AND IS NOW SEA SALT AND VINE.

Where Scarborough Boat Harbour meets Jamieson Park, this low key beachy chic cafe with its indoor/outdoor deck sits tucked away from the maddening crowd and is an ideal retreat mid-walk or cycle from Scarborough Village. At the handful of tables outside under the fig and cotton trees, four legged guests are welcome and water bowls are provided while inside there is a lounge area, a great children’s menu and plenty of space for prams.

On weekends the comprehensive menu has a variety of all-day breakfasts on offer from the big ‘the works’ plate down to fruit salads, muesli, and bacon and egg paninis, while lunches revolve around filled paninis, burgers with a bit of imagination (Thai fish cake, Portuguese chicken or Wagyu beef) and salads. Meantime the coffee is Merlo and in the lounge area shelves of groceries and handmade gifts line the wall.

For the children breakfast includes cereal and pancakes while lunch has a mini Wagyu beef burger, nibble plates of ham, cheese, fruit and crackers and a Jazzy dog – a gourmet mini-hot dog.
