Grammy and Academy Award-nominated composer, pianist, producer, arranger, and recording artist Stephan Moccio will take to the Brisbane Powerhouse stage on April 4, 2023.

Stephan Moccio, Brisbane Powerhouse

Don't miss this intimate music experience with Stephan, one of the most compelling writers in music today, possessing a rare power to express incredibly complex and nuanced emotions through melody alone.

In recent years, the classically trained pianist, composer, producer, and arranger has shown his melodic ingenuity in such iconic hits as Miley Cyrus’s seven-times-platinum "Wrecking Ball," garnered three Grammy nominations, and received an Oscar nod for co-writing The Weeknd’s seven-times-platinum "Earned It" - all while establishing himself as a highly esteemed recording artist.

Presented by Music in the Sky, Stephan's first solo piano performance in Australia will see him performing his original music from his acclaimed albums Tales of Solace (2020) and Lionheart (2021), along with hit songs he has penned for superstars like Celine Dion, The Weeknd, Dua Lipa and Avril Lavigne.

His set will be filled with captivatingly emotive music - some bittersweet, many hope-filled, and introspective. He wants to engage with the audience by giving them a moment to reflect on their lives. Stephan says, “My primary goal above all is to give people time to reflect and to hear themselves think”.

Stephan Moccio

Stephan has affirmed himself as a truly singular force who’s redefining the possibilities of piano music, adding entirely new urgency to the time-honoured genre of neoclassical music.
