Mount Eerie
Brisbane Powerhouse
Experience the highly anticipated return of Mount Eerie (Phil Elverum) when he performs at Brisbane Powerhouse for one-night-only on October 8, 2023, with Lydian Dunbar as support.
As part of Open Frame, and Mount Eerie's first Australian tour in five years, this concert will feature new songs from an in-progress album.
Under the moniker of The Microphones, Elverum released several critically acclaimed albums, including The Glow, Pt. 2, which is often regarded as a seminal indie rock album.
Highly regarded by both critics and fans, Mount Eerie’s best-selling album A Crow Looked at Me has been dubbed “one of the most remarkable folk albums ever produced”.
Renowned for his unconventional approach and introspective lyrics, Mount Eerie’s music incorporates a wide range of elements, blending folk, indie rock, and ambient music. His songs often feature poetic and thought-provoking lyrics, exploring themes of nature, mortality, and the human experience.
Lydian Dunbar’s Room40 solo album Blue Sleep, is a captivating blend of cool-hued ambient sounds. Dunbar cut his teeth playing in experimental synth-pop outfit Tralala Blip – a ragtag unit of differently-abled/neurodivergent musicians.
