DUE TO UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES JOHN BROGDEN: PROFILES IN HOPE HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

John Brogden: Profiles in Hope is an inspiring and powerful evening featuring John Brogden, author and global leader in suicide prevention in conversation with ABC Radio’s Ellen Fanning and special guests Ben Farinazzo and Preston, to be hosted by Brisbane Powerhouse on November 27.

John will share personal stories from his latest book, Profiles in Hope, which captures the journeys of Australians who have survived suicide and found a way forward.

Drawing on his own lived experience and his role as honorary president of Lifeline International, John will provide a unique perspective on mental health and recovery.

Preston Campbell

Joining John Brogden on stage wil be ex-NRL legend Preston Campbell. From a shy kid to a premiership winner and Dally M Player of the Year, Preston played 267 games across the Cronulla Sharks, Penrith Panthers, and the Gold Coast Titans. Off the field, he's a Ken Stephen Medal recipient and a powerful ambassador, championing communities nationwide.

Ben Farinazzo

Ben Farinazzo, a proud Aussie joined the Defence Force at 16, served in East Timor, and overcame PTSD and severe injuries. By 2018, he was winning gold for Australia at the Invictus Games. Now, he’s a dedicated advocate, championing mental health for veterans and Australians everywhere. Hear more about Ben’s experiences when he also joins John Brogden on stage.

The event will delve into stories from prominent Australians like James Packer, Layne Beachley, and Ian Thorpe, as well as everyday individuals, each offering hope, strength, and inspiration.

This promises to be a profound and thought-provoking evening, as John’s heartfelt storytelling provides insight into overcoming life’s darkest moments.
