Hosted by Redland City Council, a santa-approved selection of free and fun events will be available to enjoy with Christmas activations popping up all over the city.
The packed Christmas program will kick off with a free community event at Raby Bay Harbour Park on Friday Nov 29, which will include the annual lighting of the Christmas tree, carols, Santa photos, roving performers, craft activities, food vendors and the screening of The Santa Clause.
Free movie in the park events will continue weekly until December 20, where there will be a roving performer, Santa photos and food vendors. Enjoy a screening of cult Christmas film Elf at Ron Stark Oval, North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah) on December 6, Home Alone 2 at Thornlands Community Park on December 13 and Arthur Christmas on December 20 at Capalaba Regional Park.
A Christmas Trail with a digital twist will run from November 22 to December 20, featuring colourful decals of Santa and all of his festive friends at nine locations across the city. Download the free Creativitek app on your smartphone, hold it over each artwork and watch it come to life with animated characters dancing in the air! The Christmas characters will be located at Raby Bay, North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah), Russell Island, Coochiemudlo Island, Mount Cotton, Birkdale, Thorneside, Capalaba and Redland Bay.

These magical spots will be lit up nightly, perfect for families to enjoy or snap a festive family photo. That's not all! Redland Performing Arts Centre will be reliving the magic musical moments from beloved holiday classic, Love Actually, in the heartwarming Christmas Actually show, or you can enjoy a cracker of a Christmas concert when Redlands Songman JD Smith brings all your festive favourites to the stage.
