Tour & Tasting
Sirromet Winery
Take a behind the scenes tour of boutique hilltop Sirromet Winery and learn firsthand about its fascinating history and the wine-making process, followed by an exclusive wine tasting at its cellar door.
The closest winery to Brisbane CBD, Sirromet occupies 580 acres of rolling green hills in the picturesque Mt Cotton region and is a must visit for locals and visitors alike.

Established in 2000 by owner T.E. Morris (Sirromet in reverse) the winery consists of stunning five star restaurant Lurleen’s (named after owner Terry Morris’ wife), the cellar door and casual al fresco eatery the Tuscan Terrace. In addition it is one of Brisbane’s most scenic and popular wedding and function venues as well as a regular host of iconic musicians and bands at the A Day on the Green concerts.

While the majority of Sirromet’s vineyards are situated in the cooler climes of the granite belt, there are a few onsite featuring the sweet Californian style Chambison grapes that make Sun Wine (a red dessert wine).

The exclusive tour and tastings of approximately 45 mins run in small groups and are led by lively, entertaining and knowledgeable hosts. Starting with the history of Sirromet Winery and its vineyard and the tour takes guests through the entire wine-making process, from the harvest of grapes to the barrels, fermentation and bottling, with behind-the-scenes visits to the various sites where everything happens.

The tour ends with a tasting of 6 wines from the current Sirromet Vintage, Signature and Private collections in the ambient surrounds of the Cellar Door.

Nice to know - For those who wish to stay for a bite to eat, there’s a casual food menu available at the Cellar Door, including cheese and antipasto platters, deli sandwiches, seafood baskets, nachos, gourmet pies, fresh baked scones with Sirromet jam and cream, gelati and decadent cakes such as Hummingbird or Red Velvet Cake or Mars Bar Cheesecake.
Otherwise, the al fresco Tuscan Terrace (with stunning vistas across the green valleys) serves wood-fired pizza, pasta and a small range of delicious mains, light meals and desserts.
Need to know - Closed shoes suitable for walking are a requirement for the tours, which include stairs to climb and slight hills.
