Kalbar Sunflower Festival
Scenic Rim
Kalbar Sunflower Festival is on again which means it’s time to get out into the country and get up close to the happiest flowers in the world from May 2-4, 2025.

About an hour and a quarter's drive south-west of Brisbane, the farm will be a hive of sunflower-themed activity for a whole weekend, as the eight-acre patch of more than one million sunflowers are in bloom.

Once again there will be an acre sunflower maze to get lost in and wander through, with plenty of Insta photo opportunities on the way.

Throughout the weekend you can browse the market stalls (where you'll find everything sunflower!) and enjoy live music and entertainment from local artists. For sustenance, the Mater Devonshire Tea marquee will be serving fresh scones with jam and cream and fresh sandwiches, as well as a range of food trucks onsite.

You can also take part in one of the legendary Long Lunches (Friday, Saturday and Jazz lunch on Sunday) and Gala Dinner (Sunset in the Sunflowers) set amongst the fields, with each event raisling money for charity.

There will also be free kids activities at the Children's Hub, including face painting and sunflower tattoos, arts and craft activities, and this year, for the first time there will be an Animal Petting Farm.

Good to know - It’s important to remember that there will be bees out and about in the flowers as well. Plus, its a working farm and closed in footwear is advisable. There’s heaps of parking available, with friendly volunteers directing you on the day. And, if the weather turns bad, the organisers will be in touch with you direct.

Need to know - Tickets are non-refundable. If you can't make it, they can be passed on to family or friends. Tickets go on sale at the end of March 2025. To have first access to tickets sign up the mailing list.
