Decker Park
Brighton
Nestled at the northern tip of Brighton beside the Hornibrook Highway Bridge, Decker Park is one of those rare all-in-one parks that suit just about everyone. For this sprawling seafront expanse incorporates a playground, dog off leash park, loads of room to kick a ball, a half basketball court and a handful of barbecue and picnic facilities.
The ocean-themed playground, which is well shaded by melaleuca and cotton trees, is ideally suited to younger ones, with swings, a sandpit, conceptual dolphin and wave sculpture, fortress with mini slide, spinners and spider web. Nearby is the all –important amenities block and the dog off leash park, making it a great deal for those with dogs and children in tow. There are also bike paths which lead directly from the park onto the bridge walk and cycle way to Redcliffe as well as the seafront path to Sandgate.
Meanwhile the dog off leash area is also well-shaded, with an undercover picnic table and featuring a good range of agility equipment.
