Kingaroy Baconfest

Enjoy a 'pig day out' at the Kingaroy Baconfest, a sizzling weekend food festival held in Southern Queensland Country's beautiful South Burnett region from August 15-16, 2025.

This crackling porker of a festival celebrates the versatility of bacon and puts Australian pork on centre stage.

On Friday, the festival kicks off in the evening from 5-9pm, with four hours of homegrown artist entertainment, food and market stalls, plus smell the aroma of the Australian Barbecue Alliance as competitors fire up their smokers. On Saturday you can start the day with a special breakfast event - the Big Bacon Breakfast, before hitting up the Baconfest.

Kingaroy's Memorial Park will come alive throughout the day until evening on Saturday with the aromas of the Australian Barbecue Alliance SunPork Smoke Off, along with food & market stalls. Visitors can join in a bacon eating competition, or learn from the best in the business at cooking demonstrations and master classes, with guest Celebrity Chefs.

Plus there'll be home grown live entertainment all day, headlined by Golden Guitar winner Troy Cassar-Daly. a licensed bar, and, for the piglets, a Youth Activity Zone where there's a stack of fanily-friendly fun to be had.

Need to know - Ticketed events are the Bacon Street Feast (Friday), the Big Bacon Breakfast (Saturday) and the Baconfest Main Event (Saturday).
