The Anywhere Theatre Festival is back in 2018 to bring affordable, cutting edge and alternative theatre, circus, cabaret, poetry and concert to unexpected places around Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast including Noosa..

With 337 performances in 70 unexpected nooks and crannies, the Anywhere Theatre Festival, which was launched on board the HMAS Diamantina war ship at the Queensland Maritime Museum, runs from May 10-27.

The festival has a mix of new and known acts, from the internationally known and Sunshine Coast based musician and curious instrument maker Lynsey Pollak to rapidly rising names to watch such as the magic duo Turning Tricks and comedian Dani Cabs.

From Maroochy to Mount Ommaney, Seventeen Mile Rocks to Noosa, Stones Corner to Nambour, here are just some of the places you can expect to see performances:

•    Spring Hill Underground Reservoir
•    On Board the Noosa Ferry
•    Noosa Botanic Gardens
•    Inside the HMAS Diamantina at the Queensland Maritime Museum
•    Heritage homes from Newstead House to the Commissariat
•    Mooloolaba Wharf
•    Carparks at Mount Ommaney, Caloundra and West End
•    Many many residential homes and backyards.

Anywhere Festival's founder Paul Osuch says, “This is still the only festival where the pleasure of discovering a new place is matched by discovering a performer you probably didn’t know and now will never forget. It’s a whole new experience. Instead of going to a theatre that is converted into a space, Anywhere Theatre Festival shows make the space the feature."
