Celebrate Waitangi Day at The Handmade Expo Markets on Saturday, February 15, with an incredible array of stalls along with live entertainment and food trucks; setting the scene for a great day out with the family, including the furry ones as the markets are dog-friendly*.

This year is even bigger than last year, showcasing twice the amount of hangi and traditional food trucks!

The Waitangi Day in Ipswich event will have amazing Kiwi food including hangi, creamed pāua, Afghan biscuits and lolly cakes, as well as an array of market stalls offering a range of NZ goodies, from pois and prints, to t-shirts and traditional Māori pieces.

At 9:30am, a traditional pōwhiri ceremony will welcome market-goers to Tulmer Place, for what promises to be an exciting day filled with kapa haka performances and live music.

Bring the togs and towels as the kids will love running through the zero-depth water play area in Tulmur Place, while you enjoy a picnic on the shaded lawn areas after browsing the markets and all this event has to offer.

Waitangi Day in Ipswich from 9am to 2pm with free admission, plus free parking in the Bremmer Street carpark.
