42nd Street

The all dancing, all singing, musical classic, 42ND STREET, performed by Savoyards, is coming to the Iona Performing Arts Centre, Lindum, from 24 June to 8 July.

Set at the height of the great depression in 1933, aspiring chorus girl Peggy Sawyer comes to the big city of New York and lands her first big job in the ensemble of a glitzy new Broadway show.

But just before opening night, the leading lady breaks her ankle. Will Peggy be able to step in and become a star? 42nd Street is the classic musical about chasing your dream on Broadway.

Full of classic songs including "You're Getting To Be A Habit With Me," "Dames," "We're In the Money," "Lullaby of Broadway," "Shuffle Off to Buffalo" and "Forty-Second Street", audiences will be be treated to a dose of nostalgia as the cast tap dance their way through this classic musical.
